Dearest Roommate, Jocelyn.

Dear Joci,

It's hard to conceptualize the kind of awesome plan God had and still has for us as roommates. Before we moved in together, I'm sure God had a purpose for the ways you would help stretch me in both my humanity and spirituality. I'm sure because I can recognize the dramatic changes in who I am now versus who I was four short months ago. Life can change drastically in almost no time at all. Living with you hasn't been a challenge. It has been easier than most things in life, really. I suppose that could be due to the fact the rest of life has been so difficult. Perhaps living with you was a respite for my spirit. Living with you has helped me see the practicality of God - how He plans things to make sense in His timing.

Life is hard. Being your friend isn't. Thank you for easing the load and heaviness of life. Thank you for bearing with me in difficult circumstances and unpacking them with me. Difficulties make more sense when you're around to shed the light of the gospel on them. You help make life restful. I am so very thankful for you.

Love,

Cassie.
